Geospatial Technician - Woolpert Dayton, OH

Woolpert, Inc., seeks entry-level and experienced 2nd shift Geospatial Technician (GT) for their Dayton, OH office. The GT will collect, edit and process digital data from various sources to produce a variety of NGA products that meet internal and external customer requirements. Position requires accurate, efficient collection of feature and elevation data from stereo imagery using ArcGIS and ERDAS Stereo Analyst. Other duties involve data attribution and manipulation of vector data using ArcGIS, ArcSDE and PLTS.

Experienced analysts will also perform peer reviews and/or final quality assessment. Requires working on second shift. Requirements: BS/BA degree in GIS, Cartography, Geography or Remote Sensing. A minimum of 2 years' experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Good stereoscopic vision. Solid working knowledge of ArcGIS. Computer competency in Windows environment. Strong communication skills. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance.

Experienced Position Qualifications: Experience with production of NGA vector or raster geospatial datasets (Feature Data, Topographic Line Maps, City Graphics, Image City Maps, etc.). Previous photogrammetric collection and cartographic editing experience a plus. Experience using Microstation, GeoMedia, SOCET, DAT/EM, or SoftPlotter a plus.

Survey Technician - Office - (EA11334-2)

Woolpert, Inc. is currently seeking an Surveying Technician - Office for its Dallas, TX office. The position will create mapping products and reports from field surveys and other spatial data. Experience is required in the reduction of GPS and conventional field survey data, preparation of planimetric and topographic maps using AutoCAD and MicroStation Inroads software. Proficiency in processing of LiDAR and/or other remote sensing as well as GPS and conventional field surveying experience using Trimble equipment and software is desirable. Ability to perform courthouse research for right of way projects required. Prefer experience working on TxDOT projects.

Excellent communication and computer skills are needed. Applicant must demonstrate proficiency in CAD software, and Microsoft Office applications. Applicant must possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Position requires an AA/AS in Surveying, CADD, Geography, GIS or related field or two (2) years related survey experience.

Survey Technician - Office - (EA11331-3)

Woolpert, Inc. seeks a Survey Technician - Office for its Dallas, TX office. This position is primarily responsible for performing advanced survey tasks including production of topographic maps, and data reduction, with an emphasis on LiDAR both static and mobile. Position will require extended periods of travel and an ability to complete basic survey tasks necessary to support LIDAR data collection. successful candidate will have prior experience in collection and post processing of LiDAR data with experience in one or more of the following software suites: Microstation V8i, Terrasolid products, Certainty 3D's TopoDOT and/or Leica's Cyclone.

Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS in Geomatics, Survey, Civil Engineering or similar or four (4) years of related experience. Position will require driving and therefore a valid current drivers license is a must. Prior experience with TXDOT projects a plus.

Survey Technician - Field, Crew Chief - (CR11335-3)

Woolpert, Inc. is looking for a Survey Technician Crew Chief for its Denver, CO location. Qualified candidates must have a BA/BS or four (4) years of related experience (or combination of experience and education) and applicable OSHA certifications with conventional surveying skills to include, construction stakeout, boundary, topographic and route location surveying. Knowledge of the various GPS technologies is required. Must possess good supervisory skills and be computer literate. Experience performing First Order leveling is a plus. Colorado DOT experience is also a plus.
Candidate must be experienced with Microstation and In Roads coding and processing. Applicant should have experience with Colorado DOT Right of Way plans for locating boundary evidence. Applicant should have a working knowledge of Colorado State statutes regarding surveying procedures and a working knowledge of the Public Land Survey System. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record and the ability to travel as neccessary to various work sites.
